Friends of Fellow Student Borrowers Foundation (FFSB) is a non-profit organization that provides grants for minority women who have loans for higher education. The founders of FFSB are Dr. Kim Brown and Dr. Sharon Gonzalez. FFSB gives a one time grant to qualifying minority women, helps them to manage their finances after receiving the grant, provide networking opportunities and educate women in college on ways to avoid big loans.
The FFSB Market will provide opportunities for farmers, to provide the East Harlem neighborhood a new way to get produce straight from the farmers, and to educate the community about fresh produce and new recipes. The Market will also provide women vendors/farmers a platform to sell their produce/products.
